Shrek Forever After top the box office chart with $71.3M

May 24, 2010

After being released to public Shrek Forever After  or Shrek The Final Chapter movie top the box office charts with a big “O” as it earns $71.3 million in its opening weekend. Iron of Jon Favreau which top the box office charts last week is now down to the second place. This overwhelming successful of Shrek 4 is truly unexpected based on what I’ve read though the makers of the film take a risk just to make this film possible. Shrek Forever After is the forth installment of Shrek movie series and also the first 3-D and IMAX 3-D on entire Shrek history.

Meanwhile here are the lists of the movies which successfully made it through to the box office charts.

1. “Shrek Forever After,” $71.3 million.

2. “Iron Man 2,” $26.6 million.

3. “Robin Hood,” $18.7 million.

4. “Letters to Juliet,” $9.1 million.

5. “Just Wright,” $4.2 million.

6. “MacGruber,” $4.1 million.
